Photos from the filming of Gladiator 2, revealed this Tuesday (11), show Paul Mescal wearing the armor of Maximus, Russell Crowe's character in the 2000s film. In the film, Mescal will play Lucius, son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and nephew of Emperor Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix), whose fate was sealed at the end of the film in a deadly battle against Maximus. Previously scheduled for November 21st, Gladiator 2 will now be released by Paramount Pictures in theaters on November 14th this year.
