The first image has been released in conjunction with the start of filming for the third installment of the popular mystery film "Knives Out" series, "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery." Daniel Craig plays Detective Benoit Blanc, and he's getting a makeover! Rian Johnson, who is the director, screenwriter, and producer of the series, updated his X (formerly Twitter) on June 10th local time, announcing that the first day of filming had arrived. The participation of new cast members such as Josh Brolin and Jeremy Renner has been reported every day, and filming has finally begun.

The focus is on Detective Benoit Blanc, who is shown in the image attached by Johnson. The prestige of the film seems to be still intact, but you can see that his hair has grown longer compared to the previous film, Knives Out: Glass Onion (2022). If you look closely, you can see that his name is almost on his shoulders. You can also see the passage of time. The third film, which is likely to also see a makeover for Benoit Blanc, features a diverse cast of Hollywood stars.

In addition to Renner and Brolin, the cast will include Thomas Haden Church from the Spider-Man series, Andrew Scott from Strangers (2023), Cailee Spaeny from Priscilla (2023), Josh O'Connor from Gods on the Country (2017), Kerry Washington from Django Unchained (2012), Glenn Close from Albert's Life (2011), Mila Kunis from Black Swan (2010), and Darryl McCormack from Peaky Blinders (2013-2022). In his post on X/Twitter, director Johnson wrote, "See you on the other side," but what does "the other side" mean? The title "Wake Up Dead Man" literally translates to "wake up, dead man," but perhaps it means "the afterlife"... Knives Out 3, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, is scheduled for release in the US in 2025.
