According to estimates offered by Deadline, on Friday the second part of the science fiction epic directed by Denis Villeneuve would have grossed between 30 and 35 million dollars, including the 12 million coming from the classic Thursday previews. If the estimates are confirmed, the debut weekend of Dune Part Two should count on a takings of between 70 and 80 million. The pre-release forecasts spoke of figures much closer to 100 million, also driven by ultra-positive reviews, so it will be interesting to evaluate the public's word of mouth over the next few hours. Regardless, it will be an overall better result than the first part, whose weekend in 2021 had 41 million dollars.
