During a recent meeting with Deadline, Jeffrey Wright was asked if he would return as part of the cast of The Batman: Part 2. While “that's the plan,” Wright explained that he has yet to read the script, sharing the following: “That it's the plan. I haven't read the script yet, but that's the plan." As if to say that until proven otherwise he is also in for the sequel, even if at the moment he hasn't read the script yet.

DC Studios has their own plans for their Batman to take center stage in The Brave and the Bold. Andy Muschietti, director of The Flash, has been attached to direct the project, which should focus on Bruce Wayne's training of his son Damian as Robin in the new DCU. Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as the Dark Knight in The Batman – Part 2, but little else has been revealed. There have been conflicting reports on the film's villains, with everyone from the Joker to Clayface being mentioned as possible.

What's the latest on The Batman – Part 2?

In the latest update on the highly anticipated sequel, filming on The Batman – Part 2 has reportedly been postponed to March 2024. Lead star Robert Pattinson will reprise the lead role, with Matt Reeves returning to direct. Mattson Tomlin will also return to write the screenplay alongside Reeves. The release date is currently set for October 3, 2025. The first film reached more than $770 million at the box office, becoming the seventh highest-grossing film of 2022 and garnering positive reviews.
